F/I light limp throttle problems
« on: August 25, 2015, 11:24:05 pm »
So this has happened twice to me, 2015 690 enduro R, Only real mod is the FMF Q4 slip on.. Going down the road go to hit the throttle and it goes limp/falls flat on it's face, The first time was heading home from MTC instructor training and i had no one behind me luckily. The second time I was on the freeway at about 70 MPH and the throttle goes limp/nothing there i drop to 40 mph so quickly i almost got rear ended. Merge into breakdown lane and get off the freeway, Bike will not rev past 4K rpm and would not go above 35 MPH. cycle the computer and all is fine... Been at the local KTM dealer for almost two weeks with only a phone call saying there dealing with KTM corporate to figure out an avenue of approach to fix this intermittent issue but they have not herd back yet....Bike only has 1700 miles never been dropped and always taken care of... it's concerning me to say the least...

Herd back from dealer, unable to re-create the symptoms but they herd back from KTM Corp. they suspected a bad Throttle body and TPS. Awaiting the call that they have installed the parts that KTM recommended! Side note Ktm Factory front wheel still on backorder since i bought the 690. Going with a warp 9 setup!
