Hey all,
I like to do the simple stuff first...and this fix is as simple as it gets.
The turning radius on my 2014 KTM 690 Enduro R was abysmal. My turning orbit was on par with that of the moon!
Thankfully, the 690 has some adjustment play available in the handlebar stops.
These are way too far out. Back off the locknut ...
...then screw in the handlebar stop.
How far you screw it in is a matter of experimentation; just make sure the screw is hitting the "backstop" on the frame. Don't just screw it in all the way. If you do, your fork will make contact with the frame. Notice the locktite. I'm a big fan of locktite.
You go from this:
To this:
It doesn't look like a huge improvement, but it's worth the time. It won't turn the 690 into a trials bike, but every bit helps.
