Anybody know if there is a plug n play map switch that mounts on your handlebar?? Would love to switch from full street mode to dirt mode with a switch on the bars. Dont really want to play with wiring just plug in and go! Cant seem to track one down.

I recently installed the KTM Map switch from the KTM parts catalog. You get 2 settings, standard and 'other'. The 'other' is either the mud or fast setting, depending on what you have set on the stock selector switch. So you either get mud/standard or fast/standard for your two settings depending on what you have the stock selector set to under the seat.
Real easy install as well.

ShakeWell, can you switch the map on the fly? Or do you have to shut off the engine first?

RPM's at idle and TPS at zero. So I was able to roll up in Standard mode to the trail head, then as I was hitting the dirt, I hit the switch and closed the throttle until it idled for a couple of seconds. The F1 light blinked and I was on my way in mud mode.

So I got one of these. Installed fine but how do you know which map on. Is number one the setting on the underseat switch or is that number two and one is always standard. Typical KTM instructions.

As I recall the "I" setting is stock and the "II" setting is whatever has been preset as the under seat setting.
I also tried the 3 way switch sold by TrailTech and others (JD Racing, Sicass etc.) and unfortunately it does not allow for stock despite the lables on the switch, which was a deal breaker for me. Only interested in stock and soft.

I wish you could set it for fast and mud. I'd buy it now n a heart beet. I have no use for standard. Although I just leave it in mud all the time now. Changing it sucks.

I can't speak to the latest bikes and their settings but the earlier throttle cable bikes "Standard" (3) and "Advanced" (2) make exactly the same power. Only difference is how quick/jukey the throttle is, exactly like installing a G2 throttle cam.
The trail tech will do as you wish, "Advanced" & "Soft"

on my 14, setting 2 hits hard on bottom, but on 3 mine seems to have more top end. it goes faster, maybe its just mine, but i have done several runs and 3 pulls harder in the 80 - 100+ mph range. maybe the pcv has something to do with it.

The advantage to making your own is that it cost less and you get all three settings mild/standard/wild vs only two. Touratech makes the connect to use the stock plug so no need to cut anything and you can always put it back to how it was.
