Ok, so after a little research and a big desire to cure the throttle snatch/jerk, I decided to buy one of these.

I run my bike as a big enduro machine, as ktm meant it to be.  That means it's ridden across rock gardens, single track and gnarly hills.

The one thing I really wanted changed...apart from the suspension and air filter and can...was the FI snatch. And pretty much all FI bikes have it, but I miss the carby days big time.

So I dropped the $$$ for this, it arrived within 2 days fitted up a treat. In fact the hardest part was wondering where to mount the module.  The bike fired from stone cold first go, and I left it for its 15 min idle.

Tomorrow I'll give it a run and see how it goes and add the result on here.

I hate the snatchiness of the 690 as well. It got a lot better once i fitted a Vortex ECU to the pig and the jetting settled things down. Didn't totally "cure" it, so I bought a G2 throttle tamer and it helped out some more.

Last but not least, I had to adjust my use of the clutch. KTM provides a great hydraulic clutch. It's fairly sensitive to the touch and if ya learn to apply it at the proper rpms per gear, the snatch problem is quite minimal.  :P

Yeah, the Vortex does disengage the O2 sensors so if you have one there is no need to do this mod. I also fitted a tamer, and it makes a world of difference, ( tried both with and without vortex fitted).

Just remember no turning the key when you do any of these mods!
