2,000 mile trip in Utah
« on: May 21, 2014, 05:30:17 am »
Here is a link to my first real ride on the 690.
I was carrying camping and cooking gear.
The bike was flawless and I've got my suspension adjusted finally to suit me.
I road with friends "Dingweeds" "Dr. Rock" and "Francine" on that ride.

That truly is God's country out there.  The KTM just seems to "fit."  Thanks for the link.

How would you say the bike performed in that environment--especially in comparison to the other bikes?

BTW, I know you'd been frustrated getting the bike's suspension just how you wanted it; what was the solution?

BBTW, while reading your linked ride report, I couldn't help but groan when I saw how the wind blew it over.  There's a thread here about the improper length of the kickstand.  Pretty much everyone agrees that cutting it an inch shorter is the way to go.
