I love that bag.  I just ordered the Wolfman rear rack which is similar to yours.  I was wondering, have you tried strapping the Kriega sideways?  (turning the bag 90 degrees and running the straps front to rear, instead of side to side.)

I wonder if you could still access your gas cap if you ran your bag that way?  I'll probably get the Kriega in the next couple weeks.
