So I've been rocking the perun kit/ nomadic rack for over a year now. I roll with 30 lbs on it easily. If it's gonna break, so be it. Then I'll go to a frontside gas tank again. Yeah, having that damn fuel tank where it is seems to be a huge ergonomic downside, but it's part of what makes a 690. We just keep adding all sorts of **** to it and expect it to do it's damn job. Well, there's a breaking point for everything. Just get the upgraded bolt kit.
