Mosko Reckless 40l & 80l bags vs. Giantloop
« on: March 18, 2015, 08:13:13 am »
Question for those who have used the GiantLoop bags.....     I have been in contact with the guys at Mosko about their new 'Reckless' 40l and 80l bags.  Take a look at these videos that show their 2 'Reckless' bags.  http://mosko-moto.myshopify.com/blogs/mosko-moto-blog/17777312-mosko-studios-reckless-80-40-videos

Would love to hear from GiantLoop owners on how these 'compare' to what you have.   A little cheaper than GL too.   One (of many) concerns is easy of removing / installing the bags, you know, since our beloved fuel filler is in most inaccessible location!

Mosko is a small company out of Portland OR and a real group of riders.  Great to deal with and trying to make their name known in the market and have been super responsive to emails so far.
I don't really want to deal with side racks etc.   Wanted something like the Giantloop bag.   Wonder how the lack of rear subframe etc on the 690 will hold up with this style of bag.
Looking to finish riding the TAT late July and trying to figure out how to carry stuff without the Dakar support trucks following me (ok, not carrying THAT much stuff!)

Appreciate any feedback.

(Also going to post this on the TAT FB and 690 us owners FB pages - so sorry for any duplicates!)

I understand the desire to keep things light, but I thought the distribution of weight provided by sideracks was a greater benefit.  Besides, the side racks themselves are actually very light.

Good luck on the TAT.  I wanna see some pics and hear your story.  Don't worry about duplicate posting, it will just give more folks a chance to read about it.

I like the looks of these. they seem pretty well thought out. I need to start doing a little more research to figure out just witch bags I want. I think the 40l would be good for weekend get aways.
