Hi I have a 2016 KTM 690 Enduro, been wanting it for a while. I pulled the trigger this year because I thought perhaps KTM was going to stop selling them and let the 701 take over. Not so sure about that now, but really happy to have my bike. Aiming to do the TAT in 2018 if I don't wear the bike out by then.

I just did the TAT (eastbound) this Aug/Sept on my '14 690.  Great bike for it.  I did have issues with the fuel injector clogging though - despite using a prefilter at the fuel filler opening.  Not sure what the heck caused the blockage!
I also used the MoskoMoto Rackless 80 saddle bags.
Not sure what you are planning on using as far as skid plates, hand guards etc... but there are a few folks on here that can speak up on what they have. 
feel free to ask questions/suggestions etc about the bike or the TAT.
