Sprockets and Chains / Re: I found a cheap 47T aluminum/steel sprocket

To finish this conversation with myself... ;D

I counted 114 links in the chain, so I am making a strong guess that increasing the rear sprocket size with this chain is not going to work.

I realize this is two years old, but does the 47t rear sprocket work with the original chain?

Pictures are with a Euro and USA version of the 690's. I'd suspect the US requires a wider spacing of the front signals and therefore the metal bracket.

@randy0017 Wondering if you are still using the temp switch from Advance Auto. Also, is the connector a match to the 690 harness?

Since this occurred back in August, what was the cause (other than the tip-over) and solution? The owner's manual doesn't tell much, huh?

Introductions / Hey there from middle TN!

Yesterday, I brought home my first KTM and a new 690. Have been riding since I was 13--some 40+ years ago.  ;D First new bike was a 1975 Honda MT-125 for which I paid $515! What difference 40 years makes in technology and prices.

Have been adjusting the controls and applying blue Loctite to various fasteners. (something I learned from my KLX650C). Still formulating a plan for getting this bike to squat, and will most likely see what I can do with spring preloads. The seat height on my previous WR400F was higher, and I was able to make that work for me. Hoping for similar results.

See you folks around the area!
