thanks,

Dave

Hey Dave,

You're not the only who's had with posting a photo on the forum.  Like most things, it's not hard once you know how.  It's even pretty quick, once you get the hang of it.

Here's what to do:

1. Upload your pics to an online photo storage site (such as Picasa, Flickr, Photobucket, or Facebook).

2.  Make sure you set your preferences on whatever site you choose to allow anyone to view your photos (this setting is usually hidden under some tab titled "privacy" or "sharing", then...

2. Select the photo you want to show everyone, then RIGHT click the photo itself.  A list of options should come up, select "Copy Image Address."

3. Go back to your post, figure where you want your picture to be within your message and put the cursor there.  Then paste the image address into your message.  It should look like this: https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-VrvDeN2-AZ8/UvU8hzkYeGI/AAAAAAAAAto/ALq6G5kE_jI/w1151-h863-no/DSCN5860.JPG   (only, in your draft post, it won't be highlighted).

You're NOT done.

4.  Select (highlight) the entire address you just pasted into your message.  Then press the "Mona Lisa" button in the task bar (it's the one below the capital B).  Now it should look like this:

(img)https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-VrvDeN2-AZ8/UvU8hzkYeGI/AAAAAAAAAto/ALq6G5kE_jI/w1151-h863-no/DSCN5860.JPG(/img)  -- This is a little different, it will be enclosed in brackets rather than parentheses.  Also, I added bolding for emphasis.

5.  Now click preview and see if you can see your photo.  If you can, post your message and let us bask in it's glory!

TIP: If you want to include several photos in your message, it helps to have two tabs open.  The first tab will have your message, the other tab will be open to your Facebook/Picasa/Flickr/Photobucket page.  That way, you can click back and forth between them.

Another TIP: Using a site like Facebook is easy, but it doesn't offer the option to upload full resolution photos (which are larger and more awesome).

If this doesn't work for you, ask again in the posting pictures thread and we'll troubleshoot your issue to the benefit others who likely share your issue.

Rusty

690 Pics / Re: Picture Challenge
« on: January 01, 2015, 02:19:43 am »

Hey Dave, I hope you don't mind that I modified your message so your pic would show up...it's too cool to miss.  Nice air.  You had pasted in the address for the facebook webpage, rather than the address for the image itself.  I went to the webpage, clicked the photo (which made it full-size) then right clicked the picture, selected "copy image address", then pasted that in your message--presto!

these tires suck- the only thing they are good for is dry road- even then on the slick roads here in italy, i kicked out a couple times downshifting...maybe its because they are so small but i am looking for something else. today both tires lost traction and i layed it down slow speed. everything good but damn its very sketchy when the road is wet...

Sweet Mods and Accessories / Pivot Pegz
« on: April 28, 2014, 08:12:05 pm »
Found them for 127.91 shipped to my door at big bad powersports online. the out them on today and went for a ride. definatley make it easier to shift and more comfortable. i was wearing tennis shoes and i had no issues shifting- it was easier. i tried standing and that may have some pluses and minuses. when standing i could hit the rear brake easier and shift easier. i wasnt offroad so i dont know. but defiantely better on road. i didnt take them apart to lower them just bolted them as i got them. same height but the peg is a lot wider and the same size long. they could have made them longer but i dont find myself hanging my feet off the edge anymore because of the pivot.

ok rode the bike to work today- zero issues/codes. The bike ran great and sounded great- i can now hear my exhaust just a bit louder than the tires! gtg it was all pretty easy really after you get over all the hang ups and cautions over modding a brand new bike and just do it...
