this is what I get to ride across a lot of the time...plus a heap of rocks jutting out of it. One of the reason I run desert type rubber.

I run the tractionator I/T.  It does pretty good, but we have mostly sugarsand.  I've never ran over a foot with it so I don't know how it would do there..?  But I've heard good things about the desert tractionator too.

Tires / Re: Rim locks - to be or not to be?
« on: January 19, 2016, 09:51:18 am »
I've ripped a front tube so I fitted rim locks on mine. But I do a lot more off road riding than on, so I run around 12psi.

General Maintenance / Re: HTML KTM 690 Enduro Manual

I think he meant an html version. But KTM has most of their bike manuals online in PDF.

I haven't made any suspension changes. Haven't really rode it enough with the sumos. It runs pretty good just with the swap though. It might could use a little fine tuning, but it runs fast and smooth. I wouldn't recommend raising the shocks though, going from a 21" to a 17" wheel really brings that front down quite a bit already.

I already switched it back to the dirt tires because I have a trip coming up off road that I'm going to be gone for a few days so I need to make sure that I have it ready. As soon as I get back I would like to get some street rides in.

The orange fender, hand guards and spokes look nice on that bike.

That's a 2015 KTM 500 XCW. Fender is stock, but the rest he added on. You can see his videos on YouTube. r6realtor.
