Title: SPOKES ..
Post by: por356s on August 26, 2016, 08:43:37 am
I am building a rear wheel from scratch .. I need spokes .. in the parts breakdown for a 2008 690R they have two different spokes, cannot figure out if all the spokes on one side need one part number or if all forward facing spokes need one part number . Im new to building wheels , usually they are all the same, aren't they?  Thanks, for any advice!!

I use to lase a lot of wheels back in the day.  I think you need 18 of each pn. The fish show #10 &#11, 18 each and nipples #12, 36 each.  So that would work together.

I looked at my '13 690 & it has a left & right spoke.  The left is straight the right has a crook at the hub.

You will need a way to true the wheel once lased.   This is truing jig I made out of angle iron.  It takes a while to learn to true a wheel.
