Title: Plastic Body Parts Protection
Post by: RiverRunner on January 28, 2015, 04:52:58 pm
So we went with Giant Loop Coyote bags and Fandango tank bags for the new bikes.

Giant Loop sells plastic sheeting with adhesive to go on plastic body parts, but I'm cheap and I have two sets of bikes to set up for the Giant Loop product.

Anyone know where a guy can get a substitute product in bulk to protect the plastic finish somewhat cheaper?

Thanks.  My wife really wants her pretty bike to stay pretty!  The fit and finish on these bikes is just amazing - everything seems well thought out.

Look at Hobby Lobby.

Thank you - I don't know if Hobby Lobby is in Oregon - but we have similar vendors.  Good idea.

I've used Snider's Paint Guard on metal surfaces.  Don't know if it will work on plastics.  Snider's is a clear vinyl film which adheres by static.  You can get it on-line, www.sniderproducts.com.  You may also be able to find it at your local auto parts store like Pep-Boys, O'Reilly's, etc.
