THE PICTURE CHALLENGE
The game is simple. Post a pic satisfying the requirements of the challenge. If you do, you get to create the next challenge. The game is open to all forum members. Oh yeah, and the pics have to be taken by you (no surfing the internet for stock photos).
Keep in mind that the challenges should be reasonable or the game will stall...so please avoid "jumping an active volcano," or "the Dali Llama riding shotgun."
The first challenge is simple, any jumping pic. You don't need to be Travis Pastrana, but a one-wheel-hop won't do (a'la Napoleon Dynamite). I don't care if it's in your back yard, let's get the ball rolling!
-
I tried, but kept chickening out. :o The photos are too embarrassing to post. Maybe I'll do better on the next challenge.
-
lol I belonged to a forum that use to do this..................................... hope someone posts soon I suck at the action selfie!
-
Seriously? Nobody's leaving the ground, eh?
-
I ain't even leavin the garage... Now it's snowing out. Lame! Sounds like it'll be high 20's the rest of the week though so I'll be riding for sure.
-
For whatever reason, that challenge was too tough. So let me post something easier...if only to get this game going.
A photo of your bike with a historically significant thing or in a historically significant place.
I'll leave it to you to determine what "historically significant" means. Remember, if you nail this challenge you get to post the next one. Good luck.

That's me #J8 afixin to pass the two riders in front of me at Outlaw trax.

I have a lot of historic places, but none with me in them. I'm on the other side of the camera.
How about my ex-625 SXC at the old church in Ruidosa Texas.

Does that qualify for both challenges?

Sure. Now it's your turn to lay down the NEXT challenge.

Post a picture of you & your 690 on the Continental Divide. The pic must prove you are on the CD. ;)
I went thru the introduction thread & see a lot of riders out of the US.
For those out of the US. You & your 690 on a mountain top.

Good timing! Just did a water crossing with my buddy this weekend. The first two pics are of him crossing. The third pic is both bikes in the middle of the river, mine is on the left. I posted a video in a separate thread.

Well Done! That video was great. It looked a little dicey towards the end; Those rocks must have been slick!
Now YOU need to throw down the next photo challenge!
-
NEXT CHALLENGE: Your bike next to a tent you stayed in the night before.

Seams this challenge was to tough, so I had to do it. On my way to Northern Idaho to ride.
Does this count?

You Win! Lay down the next challenge.

OK. How 'bout a pic of your bike in a state other than the one you live in.
Rusty you might have to sit this one out since we all know you're away from home.

If I do participate, I'll be sure to be very far flung. Maybe in Canada somewere. I wanna find the great white north.
-
Haha sweet. Maybe next week I can knock out a few challenges in one. I'll be looking for a rock to jump (airborne 690), by the continental divide sign, in Colorado. Haha!

Well done Truck! But you know the deal, what's the next challenge for us to chew on?
-
Sorry for the delay .....
Picture challenge...... since we ride to far flung places (well, some do, other dream of doing)......
A picture of your 690 in front of a fire station or fire truck etc, in a town or city at least 400 miles from your home (Honor system on location).
Please include info on where and what station etc.
Bonus points if you can get the engine crew in the picture. Double bonus points if you get a shirt or patch out of it.
I have a shirt and patch from both Alcoa, TN, where we started, and Bebe, AR, ended our initial Trans-Am Trail trip last year. We parked our truck/trailer behind the station in Alcoa TN (with chiefs approval of course) while we rode the TAT . The fire officer in Bebe AR was surprised to see us on a) dirt bikes b) with VA plates, and c) in the little town of Bebe! Great times.
-
400 miles away ? ugh... lol I dont have any more further trips planned this year. I wanted to see what the latest pic challenge is, but I may have to wait till the next one ..lol I will be keeping it fairly local in the Montana mountains....and waiting on the snow and ice to put on my ice tires I am making. ;)
-
ok... is 400miles too far? 200 miles then? "Have to make it worth while for the crowd......."

Hey Dave, I hope you don't mind that I modified your message so your pic would show up...it's too cool to miss. Nice air. You had pasted in the address for the facebook webpage, rather than the address for the image itself. I went to the webpage, clicked the photo (which made it full-size) then right clicked the picture, selected "copy image address", then pasted that in your message--presto!
