Rear brake pedal/master cylinder is messed up. Apparently the pivot bolt is bad and bent the rode going into the master cylinder. I have to depress the pedal about 5+ inches to engage the rear brakes and the pedal is very sloppy (side to side).
Dealer is taking care of it under warranty, which is nice.... but pain in the A$$ (i might as well censor it myself)
What I could use your help is with a picture, or other knowledge of the pivot bolt and MS. Does it have a rubber bushing type thing? Does your pedal 'wiggle' side to side?
The brake fluid is very very dark - dealer said it only happens if it 'boils' well - it happened and not due to hard braking by me. They are replacing the seals and boot to the MS - so they would probably have to flush the brake fluid also (I would hope)
Just turned 500 miles on it today on the way to the dealership.
OH...... and I need a valve adjustment already - ticking away! >:( really? 500 miles? argh!

I use EBC pads. Get about 3K outta them.

How are the FA209/2 organic pads holding up? How do they compare to the OEM pads?
-
Funny how riding style affects brake life.. My OEM 2014 front brakes have near 17k miles on the & probably only half worn. I did replace the rear OEM brakes at about 10k miles.

The FA209/2 pads are solid. Good braking power no matter the condition. Worth the $35 I paid for them. Next time I spot a good deal for them or the rear 208's I'll snag them off of eBay. :P

Been using ebc on all my bike and they always outlast and outperform oem.
