Hey all,
I might have just gone a little crazy, but I just ordered one of these:

The Rukka Airman Jacket. I had to get it; it was made for me. It even has a big "R" on the back. Which, of course, stands for Rusty. I'll review it when it arrives. They sell them at Revzilla here: http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/rukka-airman-jacket
I had purchased the Firstgear Adventure Mesh jacket, but I didn't like it. The armor was too bulky and the whole jacket would come up if I raised my arms. Plus, I wanted the jacket to be a bit longer. Revzilla is awesome about returns. I almost purchased a Klim jacket, but I don't like how much velcro they use. The Rukka uses high-strength magnets instead--pretty classy. It's spendy, so it better be as good as the marketing proclaims or it's going back too.

Hey Rusty; it looks nice!
I picked up a pair of the Klim pants, I really like them - much warmer and protected.

Just a question here...is this an 'Airman' because it has a protective airbag....like the Aprillia system that was on the market?

No. It's the Airman because it uses micro-weave mesh throughout. It should be ideal for hot Houston. I'll have to layer it up north.

Looks like a very nice jacket. Surprised it is black and is waterproof even though it supposed to be a hot weather jacket. It will be interested to see if it really does have enough air flow to keep you cool.

Hey all,
I got the Airman jacket and returned it the next day. I just didn't like how it fit. Plus, despite the increased length over Rukka's other offerings, it felt like a road jacket. I nearly took it for a ride, but felt afraid I would get it dirty.
I want a jacket that I'd feel comfortable getting dirty. I just ordered the Klim Badlands Pro--We'll see what I think when it comes.

I think you will like it. I guess you could always put an 'R' on it! ;D

I have a couple of Revzilla jackets and pants. One Four season set up for touring and a summer mesh set up for hot weather, hard to get the pant just right because I have short legs and well I ain't skinny either. Good luck finding the perfect match for yourself. I have seen some of the Rukka stuff and boy did it look nice!
