ECU Flash - Which part #?
« on: January 28, 2015, 11:06:44 pm »
Question 1:
I don't know if my dealer is clueless on the reflash issue of MY15 or not.

Which reflash have you seen used on our bikes with a foam UNI air cleaner and aftermarket silencer (FMF Q4)?

Do you have the part # to help me tell them exactly what to use?

Question 2:
I sent the ECU for my MY12 Husky to a shop in CA and they reflashed it for $45.  Anyone know of a source to reflash the KTM 690 ECU via mail?  That might be an easier option.

I use TuneECU to reflash my ECU on the Triumph Tiger.
There are KTM tunes here:-

Not sure which interface cable the KTM uses, I think it's different to the OBD II Triumph cable...
Costs peanuts for a cable and then you can try a few tunes and use what you like.

I think the 14/15 Enduro and 13/14/15 Duke ECU has been locked by KTM - the ECU can only be flashed by the dealer.  If you have a way around this, you will be most popular here!

That will be down to Alain Fontaine and his team. Triumph locked the new Tiger Sport 1050 - they had it **** a year after it's release even though Triumph were adamant it could not be done. It's just a matter of time IMO. Just keep an eye on the TuneECU website or ADV for news - it will happen.
