Things to do first?
« on: March 13, 2014, 11:43:37 am »
So... when I got my DRZ400e back in 2006... all the forums indicated that you should basically break the bike down and re-grease everything.... swing arm bearings, steering head bearings etc.  Almost like Japan rationed the grease.   Sure enough... head bearing had half a dime size dab of grease - swing arm bearings almost the same none existent grease.

I had to strip the bike (DRZ) down anyway in order to install the dualsport kit - nice to see how everything went together when it's clean and not bent or anything.

Anything remotely needed for the 2014 690R?

Loctite!  I've already had a few bolts rattle themselves loose (shifter, rear left quarter panel, Right grab handle).
