Help! Dropped screw into fuel tank
« on: March 05, 2017, 05:12:39 pm »
Help, I dropped one of the fuel filler screws into my tank.  Was replacing with the CJ Designs billet filler and I dropped one of the screws into the tank.  Of course they are non-magnetic stainless so a magnet is out.  Do I need to get it out or will it just sit at the bottom of the tank and not cause any issues? If I have to get the screw out is there an easy way? Open for all good suggestions.

Please help dumb **** out!

Thanks,

I wouldn't worry about it until such time as you want or need to change the filter or fuel pump.  I don't see it hurting at all.

If it bothers you, run the tank down to about empty and then drop the plate with 4 bolts on the bottom of the tank - you should find it them.
