I went with a LiPo and haven't had any issues. The new battery went in at the same time the full exhaust and the two mods combined made a noticeable improvement in the rear suspension. The LiPo's are smaller than the stock battery and I used the foam packing from the box it was shipped in to hold it in place. Lastly, here's a pick of the LiPo in the battery relocation kit. The kit is designed to hold the stock shaped battery so you can see the size difference.

Oh, and you can see the now-recycled-twice foam holding it on top.
