Trailpioneer, if you decide to bite the bullet and get the dongle, I recommend buying it through Munnracing.com.  They give a 5% discount on their site, but if you are registered at KTMTalk.com forum, you can link into Munn racing and get 25% off.  I have the dongle and run it like Kingrider.  You still have to deal with a flashing ABS light on the dash (slow flash= front ABS, faster flash= no ABS) and you can't turn the ABS to completely on without disconnecting the dongle.

Actually you can set it to full ABS on without disconnecting the dongle. Put the kill switch to on, turn on the key, turn kill switch off and start. You will have full ABS front and rear. Want rear ABS only again? Turn kill switch off, turn on the key start and you will have rear only.

The no flashing, slow flashing or fast flashing ABS lamp on the dash will let you know which mode your in!
