Re: Rottweiler Intake

I put the Rottweiler on my wife's bike and mine.  I've now got an 1100 mile trip on dirt after the install.  The ticket on extended "dusty" roads/trails is using 2 filter skins on top of the original filter.  I used 4 sets of filter skin changes over 1100 miles and while the skins were mud coated, the main filter foam element had almost no particulate wash out with first a mineral spirits wash and then soap and hot water - the filter skins caught virtually all of the dirt!  There is ZERO dirt that got through the main foam filter from the looks of the thing.

This is exactly what I wanted to see - change the skins and not worry about the main foam filter needing cleaning on a trip.  This alone makes it worth the cost of admission.  I also think it hits harder at lower RPM.

Boy I don't find anything objectionable about the intake bark - at WOT it sounds the way a 700 cc thumper should sound!
