The 690 wasn't too bad to ride offroad at all. A little heavy at times, but certainly manageable. I really felt the only thing I'd change for riding it like a dirt bike was the exhaust and the suspension, as it was much too soft to keep up with the rest of the bike.

Unfortunately I didn't end up riding her the way I had planned, and ended up doing a lot more commuting and street rides, some 2 up, than I anticipated when I purchased her. I ended up keeping my kx500 and trading the 690 on a leftover new 13 MG Stelvio. I do plan to keep up with you guys, though. May eventually get a 690 again in the future, as I did love it for what it was good at. Just not room enough in the budget for now. I do, however, have plans to get video of the stelvio offroad as well.
