Oklahoma offroad and teaching a new rider
« on: August 04, 2014, 01:48:35 pm »
Hey guys. Went out this weekend and got my girlfriend on the XR100R. It's her second time to ever be on a dirt bike, and she did great. I had some fun on the 690, too.

I'm also thinking about creating a youtube series  about places to ride at and places to ride to in Oklahoma. Good idea? Next video will definitely have either closer shots for interviews or over dubbed audio. Anyway, this video is arranged the way it is, with that in mind.

I'm reading a story that I feel it is very useful to me. And it makes me feel very well.

Thanks for posting the vids, always good to watch someone riding a 690 when you can't be out on your own.

For the where-to-ride website, the options for dual sport riding area tips on the web are a bit hunt and peck. You can find great webs on atv, sxs, or other ohv only vehicles and if you ride 75% street there are options for the big bike guys to find routes.

However, what I'd like to see is a google maps based site that can spit out .gpx files focused on 'get to the dirt, ride and ride home' type of riding. People are finding routes all the time but there isn't a good place to upload your maps to share.

Oh, and good job getting the gf riding, that's the makings of a keeper!
